$952.50!

That's where my fundraising is at. Not that I'm counting or anything. :)

If any of you shop at Carson's. I'll be selling coupon books for Community Days which I think is November 20th. I'll post more details when I get the books.

As for the actual physical training, I'm still not very fast. I think I'm going to try and do most of my workouts during the week at Bally's because i can closely monitor how fast/far I'm going. I'm still not very fast. In fact, I'm thinking about switching to the half marathon (*only* 13.1 miles) because it has a more forgiving mile per hour limit. Or maybe I'm just being hard on myself. Considering that I was a couch potato when I started, a half marathon is still quite an accomplishment no?

I should have a furnance soon. I had one guy give me an estimate ($1650) that was less than I feared it might be and I'm getting another estimate tomorrow morning so I should have heat within the next few days. Luckily, I won't be home much the rest of the week. And as my neighbor said, this could have happened in February. And I think I've figured out how to finance the furnace without putting it on my credit card. Thanks be to God!

Now I should be a good citizen and watch the debate tonight but I have the DVD of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind which sounds like a much more satisfying way of spending the evening.

Oh and I had lots of fun at the Pierce Pettis house concert I went to on Saturday night. $15 and there were snacks! Why haven't I been to a house concert before?

How would you describe the music of Pierce Pettis? Is he worth seeing? He comes here all the time, to a great little venue called Trinity House Theatre.

I would describe Pierce as a folk music guy with a great voice who loves Jesus.
