An interesting article on the influence of mega-churches in country. Interesting because it questions the influence of megachurches. The Daily Herald rarely says anything negative about the likes of Willow Creek. Also interesting is that no Willow staffers were quoted, save for Lee Strobel who left a few years ago.

Mega Church
Corporate church grows and grows just like
big business. Scary.

good news
well I think the big churches are good for
some people and the small for others, the world's
biggest church is in seoul korea dwarfing these
(500,000 ).
I would like to see of course more renewal...
next year is the 100th anniversary of the Azusa
street(L.A.) beginning of the Pentecostal-Charismatic
renewal which now encompasses perhaps 600,000,000...

but would also like to see better education and
more literacy in this country too...
anyhow these

The problem arises when

Bush = Christian
Thus
"Let's elect Bush"
Thus
Being a Christian leads to gaining political influence
Thus
"Let's all become Christians"
Thus
"Christian" comes to mean "those in power"
